Small group college application and essay workshops are periodically offered to juniors and rising seniors. Each workshop covers valuable information that will empower students as they prepare to write their personal essays and/or submit their upcoming college applications.
COLLEGE APPLICATION WORKSHOPS
Applicants will be provided an overview of the application process and tips on getting organized. Topics will include: how to develop a good-match college list, strategies for writing the college essay, tips for resumes and recommendation letters, an overview of common application platforms and what is required, and secret strategies for improving the odds of acceptance. Each session will include valuable resources and dedicated Q & A.
ESSAY WRITING WORKSHOP
Writing the essay for college applications can be an overwhelming task for many students - strong and weak writers alike! This workshop focuses on the unique aspects of this type of writing and what colleges are looking for. Students will receive valuable writing instruction related to topic selection, organization, style, and strategy. Activities will include brainstorming, topic selection, and writing a first draft.
Both workshops are held virtually with live video, custom materials, and online tools.
